Why this Course

  • The First Aid at Work 3 Day Course is suitable for people aged 16+ who may need to private first aid by responding to accidents, injuries or illnesses encountered in the workplace
  • On completion of this course you will receive a First Aid at Work Certificate which is valid for 3 years. This course meets the requirements specified by the health and Safety (First Aid) Regulations 1981 
  • This 3-Day First Aid at Work Course is suitable for larger organisations and/or high risk industries where injuries or accidents may be more serious 
  • This course is particularly popular within the construction industry but is applicable to all industries where accidents may occur

What does this Training Involve?

It is a requirement of the Health and Safety law that employers should provide a safe and healthy environment for their employees.If the assessment of First Aid needs highlights the need for qualified First Aiders, then this Level 3 qualification will provide you with suitable, highly trained personnel.This comprehensive three day course covers a wide range of First Aid emergencies, enabling all participants to deal with an emergency situation with confidence in a prompt, safe and effective way.This course will give the participants a qualification to the highest level.

Duration

A minimum of 18 hours spread over at least 3 days.

Ideally, the course should be run over three consecutive days, but we have the flexibility to accommodate your specific needs if you so desire providing it is completed within 10 weeks of starting the course.

A range of subjects is covered including: 

Responsibilities and Reporting | Assessment of the situation | Dealing with an unresponsive casualty | Basic hygiene in First Aid | Resuscitation and AED awareness | Anatomy | Minor Injuries | Bleeding control | Burns | Choking | Epilepsy | Shock ( including Anaphylaxis) | Heart Attacks | Head injuries | Sprains and strains | Poisoning | Bandaging | Choking | Eye injuries | Chest injuries | Asthma | Diabetes | Stroke

A maximum of 12 students can be accommodated on this course. Learners must be a minimum of 16 years of age.
